SCIENCE
Petrified wood is a variety of fossilised wood. The petrification process replaces organic material with minerals, slowly over eons of time. The wood must first be buried in an anaerobic environment, not allowing it to be exposed to oxygen and prevents it from breaking down.
CRYSTAL CARE
Although crystals have survived hundreds of thousands to millions of years (wow) in our earth they are still delicate and must be treated with TLC.
Much like unfossilised wood, this piece has a grain and natural weaknesses. Handle with care. May scratch from harder minerals on top. Clean with a damp cloth.
