Where do you source your crystals?
Our crystals are sourced over the world, from Tasmania to the highest peaks of the Himalayas in Nepal. Some have come from out of space that fell on the earth millions of years ago.
Are your crystals ethical?
Yes, our crystals are ethically sourced & sold.
Ethical mining/sourcing refers to the conditions in which a crystal is unearthed and the people and/or businesses that do it. Whilst a mineral may be sourced ethically from the earth, many stones are sent to factories in other countries for cutting and polishing into spheres and generators.
The label of ethics also applies to the selling and consumer purchasing.
Crystals must be correctly identified, certified as natural with any treatments disclosed. Too often crystals are lab grown or treated in a lab and sold as natural. This is incredibly important to us (and our in-house gemmologist) so each piece is tested and certified and accompanied by an authenticity card.
We pride ourselves on our crystal ethics, from earth to home.
Are your crystals certified?
Uluna is Australia’s only gemologist owned and certified crystal brand.
What is a gemmologist?
Gemmology is the scientific study of gem-materials. Gemmologists identify and examine gemstones, organic material, crystals and carvings using laboratory equipment including microscopes, UV light, refractometer, spectrascopes and other types of grading instruments.
A gemmologist can only receive fellowship (FGAA after their name) if they have been board-approved and have passed their exams with distinction.
Our co-founder Stacey Lim FGAA holds the Vice President position at the Gemmological Association of Australia Victorian Division and teaches classes such as ‘Silica Gems’, ‘Opals’ and Crystallography.
Why do you have mostly raw crystals?
In the current crystal industry most polished and carved stones are shipped from their country of origin to factories in India and China that do not operate ethically. As Uluna’s focus is on reducing the carbon footprint of a crystal’s journey, this means sourcing directly from the source of origin. Some countries have lapidarists that polish locally (e.g. Madagascar and Afghanistan) and so we have limited polished and carved stones.
Adding to this we value a crystals formation and see the benefit in these crystalline forms for their aesthetic AND healing properties.
How do I care for my crystals?
Whilst crystals survive for thousands of years within our earth, they are still delicate and require gentle care. For more information, visit our crystal care page
Where can I learn more about crystals?
We have a Live Sale X Crystal Class on Tuesdays at 7pm on our Instagram (@ulunalife) which is a fantastic place to learn about the scientific and spiritual properties of crystals. (with the added bonus of being able to purchase crystals at the same time!)
For those wanting to expand their crystal knowledge, we offer masterclasses, courses and experiences that are designed to expand your knowledge on what crystals are and how to benefit from their subtle vibrations.
Email our team at info@uluna.com.au to find out about our next release dates for masterclasses and courses.
How do I choose a crystal?
You may notice that you are drawn to a particular crystal for reasons you might not be able to describe; some crystals choose you! For this reason, we encourage you to rely on your intuition when choosing a crystal.
Another way is to consider the energetic, physical and emotional connection of each chakra and select a stone of the colour that connects to that chakra. EG: Communication or self expression focussed crystals are blue and connect to the throat chakra.
Learn more about chakras here: https://uluna.com.au/pages/chakra-experience
Will I be receiving the same crystal that is in the photograph?
Each crystal on our website will mention in the description if the item is “intuitively selected” by our team (this usually includes tumble and palm stones) Otherwise, it is safe to assume your item is the exact piece in the image. As we mostly deal with one-off raw minerals, the crystal shown in the photograph will be the crystal you receive.

What is the difference between a roller, mist and diffuser blend?
Roller blends are oil based and can be enjoyed aromatically or topically.
Aromatic application:
The science of smell.
People tend to respond emotionally with their sense of smell more than any other of our senses. This is partly because the area of the brain associated with smell (Olfaction) also is related to memories and emotions.
Our olfactory nerves are located in the nasal cavity and these send messages to the brain where both memory and emotions are processed and stored. This section of the brain is then connected to other parts of the brain (Pituitary gland & Hypothalamus), which triggers various chemical actions and reactions within our body.
As a result of the connection between the olfactory nerves and our brain’s limbic system the reaction to “Smell” is immediate.
All one miniscule, but very effective, chain reaction.
The variety of molecules within different essential oils causes differing “chain reactions” therefore various responses to each essential oil tap into a wide range of memories and emotional responses for each individual.
A very simple way to gain immediate benefits from your oils is to simply “Sniff” them directly or enjoy the aroma off your skin and pulse points.
For an intense and quick inhalation, apply a little oil or mist to the palm of your hand, rub your hand together to warm the oils then breathe from your cupped hands.
A quick sniff of your oil should give you a quick response in those times of need… a buzz of energy from “Zest”, a lift of happy feelings in “Joy”, a calming, focusing moment with “Hush” etc..
Topical application:
The quickest way for our bodies to absorb essential oils and disperse into our bloodstream is through the pores on the soles of our feet. As strange as this may seem, these pores are the largest therefore the most effective for absorbing and releasing into the bloodstream.
As well as applying to the soles of your feet it is helpful to apply to the area the oils are working to address. For instance “Feels”, which helps to instil loving feelings, for self and others, can be applied to the area around your heart.
All blends work well on the 9 pulse points of the body:
- Temples
- Side of neck
- Heart space
- Inside of elbow
- Wrist
- Hip fold
- Behind the knee
- Inner ankle
- Top of foot
Other points of application are:
- Back of neck
- Upper and lower abdomen
- Lower back
- Collar bones
- Soles of your feet (best for absorption - take care not to slip)
Where can I spray my mist?
Our mists are safe for skin and linen. They’re created for use “around” you. By “Spritzing” your immediate environment you will aid in cleansing and preparing your personal space or sacred space. This is particularly helpful as part of a routine. For example, you may choose to use your “Slumber” mist by spraying around your bedroom and pillow before sleep.
Whilst you would never use a full strength Essential oil blend on children or babies you may find benefit in Misting the bathroom lightly with “Slumber” whilst they have their night time bath to assist them with a sense of calm prior to sleep.
How long will it take for my package to arrive?
Generally an order will be shipped within 24 - 48 hours of receipt however please allow up to 72 hours as we do not operate on weekends and public holidays.

What is an affirmation?
Each product has a customised affirmation to help you manifest the positive changes supported by the oils and crystals.
An affirmation is one of the many ways we can re-program our brains to influence a positive change within ourselves.
Our brains are powerful computers that are programmed from day one and continually updated through life experiences. As adults we can continue to add coding through various sensory inputs.
Affirmations are positive words, typically in statement form, that reinforces a positive feeling, emotion or action that you wish to manifest within yourself. By repeating an affirmation, either in your mind or aloud to yourself, you are programming your brain with an instruction. As affirmations are statements set in present time, much like our own conscious and unconscious thoughts, we can replace old negative ways of thinking with new ways that are encouraging, positive and uplifting. This literal communication with our mind can affect our emotions, behaviours and physical wellbeing by potentially reducing stress and anxiety.
What is a visualisation?
Each product has a customised visualisation to help you manifest the positive changes supported by the oils and crystals.
A visualisation is one of the many ways we can navigate meditative practices by sourcing memories of sensory stimulations to completely engulf our imagination into a pleasant and calming exercise.
Our brains are powerful computers that are programmed from day one and continually updated through life experiences. As adults we can continue to draw on positive memories of smell, sound, touch, taste and vision to bring our mind back to a state of tranquillity. Think of a visualisation as a method to go to your mind’s ‘happy place’.
A visualisation works most effectively if the imagined scene evokes all of our senses. This powerful practice of visualising can encourage our brains to physically feel the experience and recap the rewards of the pleasant ‘experience’.
By incorporating this process of sitting quietly and imagining, visualising and experiencing into your self-care ritual you will be more likely to experience positive changes within yourself.
