HEALING
Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl is a stone of sharp insight, energetic protection, and quiet strength. Known for its luminous chatoyancy — the silky “eye” that moves across its surface — this stone has long been revered as a talisman to ward off negative energy and restore emotional balance. Often called upon in times of uncertainty, it helps ground scattered energy, protect against emotional overwhelm, and sharpen decision-making.
Balancing intuition with logic, Cat’s Eye supports self-discipline, clear boundaries, and inner alignment — especially helpful during periods of change or personal growth. In Vedic traditions, it is associated with the karmic planet Ketu, aiding detachment from ego, past patterns, and spiritual heaviness. Whether carried for protection or used in ritual, this stone is a steady companion for those seeking clarity, resilience, and energetic sovereignty.
SCIENCE
Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl, also known as cymophane, is a rare variety of chrysoberyl distinguished by its striking chatoyancy — a luminous band of reflected light that resembles a cat’s eye. This optical effect is caused by fine, parallel inclusions of rutile fibres within the stone, best seen in cabochon cuts. Chrysoberyl ranks 8.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it a durable choice for jewellery and daily wear. It typically forms in pegmatites and alluvial deposits, with notable sources including Sri Lanka, Brazil, and India. Its golden to greenish-yellow hues, combined with its mesmerising eye-like sheen, have made it both a prized collector’s stone and a revered metaphysical talisman for centuries.

SOURCING ETHICS & VALUES
At Uluna, we are deeply committed to offering crystals that are not only beautiful but also ethically sourced and of the highest quality. Ethical sourcing means ensuring that the crystals we provide are mined under fair conditions, respecting both the environment and the workers involved. We also recognise that many crystals undergo processes like cutting and polishing in factories far away from their mined locations, so we remain diligent about maintaining our integrity throughout the supply chain sourcing locally and directly where possible.
Our dedication to quality is upheld by our in-house gemmologist, who brings over 15 years of expertise to every piece we offer. Each crystal is carefully tested, correctly identified, and certified as natural, with any treatments fully disclosed. Unlike lab-grown or misrepresented stones often sold as natural, our crystals are authentic and come with an authenticity card, guaranteeing their provenance and purity so you can feel safe with each purchase. For us, ethics and quality are non-negotiable values.
