HEALING
Dendritic Opal carries a deeply stabilising energy, offering support during times when life feels uncertain, shifting, or in flux. The delicate fern-like inclusions inside the stone mirror the branching pathways of your own life — reminding you that even when the future feels unclear, you are always growing, always evolving, always guided. Its energy brings nervous-system calm, helping you regulate emotions, release tension, and settle into a grounded sense of presence. In moments of overwhelm or fragmentation, this stone encourages you to slow down, reconnect to your breath, and root yourself in the here and now.
This Western Australian form of Dendritic Opal is particularly connected to steadiness, resilience, and inner alignment. Hold it when you need perspective or when you’re navigating crossroads — emotional, creative, relational, or spiritual. Its subtle vibration reminds you to trust your instincts, honour your timing, and choose pathways that feel spacious rather than pressured. It is especially supportive for people who carry too much responsibility, who absorb the emotions of others, or who are learning to set boundaries with clarity and confidence. Think of this stone as a quiet companion for decision-making, grounding rituals, and returning home to yourself.
SCIENCE
Dendritic Opal is a variety of common opal (opal-C or opal-A) that contains striking dendritic inclusions — branching patterns that look like trees, ferns, or lightning strikes. These inclusions are typically manganese or iron oxides that seep into microscopic fractures inside the silica gel during formation. As the opal slowly hardens, these minerals crystallise along natural planes, creating the intricate dark patterns that make dendritic opal so recognisable. The result is a gemstone that holds both the softness of opal and the bold contrast of metallic mineral growth.
Western Australian deposits are known for producing dendritic opals with creamy white, pastel grey, or warm beige bodies marked by sharp, expressive dendrites. These stones form in sedimentary environments where silica-rich fluids move through fractures in rock, later solidifying into opal over thousands to millions of years. Unlike precious opal, which displays rainbow colour-play, dendritic opal is valued for its patterns and grounding visual energy. Gemmologically, it is relatively soft, formed from hydrated amorphous silica, and often found in nodules or seams within ancient desert and basin environments.

OUR ETHICS
Yes, our crystals are ethically sourced & sold.
Read more:
Ethical mining/sourcing refers to the conditions in which a crystal is unearthed and the people and/or businesses that do it. Whilst a mineral may be sourced ethically from the earth, many stones are sent to factories in other countries for cutting and polishing into spheres and generators.
The label of ethics also applies to the selling and consumer purchasing.
Crystals must be correctly identified, certified as natural with any treatments disclosed. Too often crystals are lab grown or treated in a lab and sold as natural. This is incredibly important to us (and our in-house gemmologist) so each piece is tested and certified and accompanied by and authenticity card.
We pride ourselves on our crystal ethics, from earth to home.
