Ruby Zoisite, also known as Anyolite, is a striking metamorphic rock composed of green zoisite intergrown with ruby crystals, and often flecked with black hornblende. This natural combination creates vivid contrast, where the deep red of corundum (ruby) meets the earthy green of zoisite. With a hardness of 6–7 on the Mohs scale, it is durable enough for jewellery and decorative objects. First discovered in Tanzania in 1954, it remains the primary source of gem-quality Ruby Zoisite.
