Precious opal is a stone to activate all chakras, the crown in particular. Entering in white lights and distributing each wavelength to the associated chakra for cleansing.

Fossils allow us to connect on a deeper level to ourselves by accessing ancestral energetic ties and past lives.

SCIENCE

The process of fossilisation is a rare occurrence and when precious opal is the mineral in which is replacing the organic material of the once-living creature it is even rarer. This process is called permineralisation and occurs when minerals such as silica are deposited into the small cavities and empty spaces where solid organic material once was.

Precious opal is a hydrated form of silica which has an internal composition of silica spheres. when these spheres are arranged in an orderly symmetrical structure they are able to diffract the white light that enters the stone to show an incredible phenomena called "play of colour". The size of these microscopic spheres determine which end of the spectrum we see.

OUR ETHICS

Yes, our crystals are ethically sourced & sold.

Read more:
Ethical mining/sourcing refers to the conditions in which a crystal is unearthed and the people and/or businesses that do it. Whilst a mineral may be sourced ethically from the earth, many stones are sent to factories in other countries for cutting and polishing into spheres and generators.

The label of ethics also applies to the selling and consumer purchasing.

Crystals must be correctly identified, certified as natural with any treatments disclosed. Too often crystals are lab grown or treated in a lab and sold as natural. This is incredibly important to us (and our in-house gemmologist) so each piece is tested and certified and accompanied by and authenticity card.

We pride ourselves on our crystal ethics, from earth to home.
