Cobaltian Calcite gets in name from the element 'cobalt' that gives it that bright pink colour - unusual as we associate cobalt with blue.
Forming as a fine coating of druzy crystals on dolomite, you may see some flat crystal faces when crystals are large.

Calcite is a delicate stone. In this druze formation, care must be taken. Gently brush crystals with a damp toothbrush to remove dust and maintain their shine.
