HEALING

Sampleite carries a soothing, clarifying energy—almost like a gentle internal cleanse for the emotional body. Its soft teal-blue tones encourage release of mental clutter, overstimulation, and looping thoughts, helping you return to your centre when life feels mentally noisy. When held during meditation or placed on your altar, it invites unravelling of old stories and unprocessed emotions in a steady, manageable way. The stone embodies softness without weakness: it holds space for you to process, self-soothe and gain perspective without force or overwhelm.

Energetically, Sampleite supports communication, emotional regulation and clear boundaries. It has a way of softening reactive edges while strengthening inner truth, making it ideal for moments when you’re learning to speak up, integrate new identity layers, or reduce emotional reactivity. Its presence can feel like airflow through a room—subtle but transformative—encouraging slow clearing, renewed space and the ability to respond with clarity rather than react from fatigue or stress. Use it in breathwork, journalling, or rituals of mental reset.

SCIENCE

Sampleite is a rare copper-bearing phosphate–carbonate mineral often forming thin, earthy crusts or microcrystalline coatings in vivid blue-green hues. It typically occurs as a secondary mineral in oxidised copper deposits—meaning it forms when older copper sulphides break down and re-precipitate as more delicate, colourful minerals near the earth’s surface. In the Parkes region of NSW, Sampleite commonly appears on iron-rich host rock, accompanied by limonite, chrysocolla, malachite or other weathering-zone phosphates, creating those striking colour contrasts that collectors love.

Mineralogically, Sampleite forms triclinic crystals, though they are usually too small to show distinct faces. Its chemistry (a hydrated copper phosphate–carbonate) explains both its colour and its fragility. This mineral develops in low-temperature environments where copper-rich fluids interact with phosphates and carbonates within the host rock. Because it forms late in the oxidation sequence, it often coats rock surfaces in thin layers rather than growing into large crystals. Even so, each patch embodies a detailed geological timeline: sulphide breakdown, fluid movement, mineral replacement and surface-level crystallisation over long periods of Earth’s weathering cycles.

OUR ETHICS

Yes, our crystals are ethically sourced & sold.

Read more:
Ethical mining/sourcing refers to the conditions in which a crystal is unearthed and the people and/or businesses that do it. Whilst a mineral may be sourced ethically from the earth, many stones are sent to factories in other countries for cutting and polishing into spheres and generators.

The label of ethics also applies to the selling and consumer purchasing.

Crystals must be correctly identified, certified as natural with any treatments disclosed. Too often crystals are lab grown or treated in a lab and sold as natural. This is incredibly important to us (and our in-house gemmologist) so each piece is tested and certified and accompanied by and authenticity card.

We pride ourselves on our crystal ethics, from earth to home.
